About Mr Jonathan Evans
Mr Jonathan Evans is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospital, where he was appointed in 2020. He qualified in medicine from the University of Liverpool in 2006 and completed higher surgical training in general surgery in the West Midlands. He sits on the abdominal wall committee of the ACPGBI.
Mr Evans is a high-volume endoscopist with a focus on colonoscopy and is an accredited bowel cancer screening endoscopist. He is actively involved in teaching colonoscopy skills courses.
His academic background includes a research-based PhD completed in 2016 at the University of Liverpool, examining chemotherapy response in colorectal cancer. His research won the John of Ardene medal and Wesleyan prizes at the Royal Society of Medicine.
