Eating Disorders

Anorexia

Dr Sharma was excellent in her support and care, however I did challenge where the care plan was for my daughter and what the clinic were offering. I never did receive this. I also feel that more support could have been offered to parents who were navigating a very complex health issue with little to no knowledge of what their child was going through and how they could support.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Fantastic, whole process was excellent, stress free and clinicians were very supportive and understanding, and listened to our needs and wishes.

Alcoholism (Alcohol Dependence)

Alcohol Withdrawal

Addiction

My treatment has been fine I have had no issues

The treatment I received at Castle Craig was professional and caring. The hospital is well organised, management know all of the patients and every patient has their own therapist.
After suffering years of alcoholism and entering treatment as a shadow of my former Self I felt I was treated with dignity and respect. Having been through the programme for six weeks I can say that it has been transformational for me. I’m now doing the aftercare at home and likewise to the above it is well managed and has given me extra confidence now I have left rehab.

Low Self-Esteem

Neurodiverse

I met Matthew rather suddenly and unexpectedly, and whilst that almost always brings me a lot of fear and causes me to shut down, my experience with Matthew was different. I found him to be a person who is very easy to let in and trust. His presence, his genuineness, his patience, his understanding and his kindness is far beyond what I've experienced with most people throughout my life, and the safety I felt in his presence is undeniable. He listens, he understands, he hears, he challenges in a most gentle way. Not only that, but if I felt I didn't understand something I never once felt ashamed to ask, which also is something that doesn't usually come easy to me. I feel privileged and beyond grateful to have met Matthew. He is truly a rare soul and his humour and humanness often left me feeling much lighter after even heavy sessions.

Fear of Vomiting (Emetophobia)

Prof Veale arrived 10-15 minutes late to our video consultation with very little apologies. It was not really a consultation as I didn’t feel consulted at all, I felt talked at. He clearly hadn’t read the questionnaires I was asked to fill in. He constantly interrupted me and spoke over me. At times it felt like an upselling exercise with him pushing his book and private clinic services. Honestly, I feel like it was a complete waste of time and money. Very disappointed by the whole experience and would not recommend

Relationship Issues

I went to Dr Bhavna for help with some relationship issues, and I’m really glad I did. Her Six Human Needs technique helped me understand myself and others better, and it has really helped me improve my relationships. I feel much clearer and more confident now. I would definitely recommend her.

I couldn’t be happier with the therapy sessions I’ve had with Steven McFarlane. From the start, he created a safe, professional, and welcoming space where I felt completely supported. The insights and guidance he provided have made a huge difference for me, which is why I’m looking forward to continuing my therapy journey with him. I thoroughly recommend Steven to anyone looking for an exceptional therapist.
