Oasis Bradford is a specialist residential alcohol and drug detoxification and rehabilitation centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire, providing medically managed detoxification, stabilisation and addiction recovery support for adults aged 18 and over.

Established in 2009, our 17-bed centre offers a supportive clinical environment for individuals who need professional help withdrawing from alcohol, drugs or prescription medications.

What addictions does Oasis Bradford treat?

Oasis Bradford specialises in medically managed withdrawal and stabilisation for a wide range of substance dependencies.

Alcohol addiction and dependency: We support adults experiencing alcohol dependency, including those at risk of withdrawal symptoms when reducing or stopping their alcohol consumption. Detoxification is supported by a prescribed treatment plan and continuous nursing care.

Drug addiction: Our team provides treatment for dependency involving heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, cannabis, ketamine, amphetamines, methamphetamine, MDMA/ecstasy, GHB/GBL and certain synthetic drugs.

Opioid and prescription medication dependency: We assess and treat dependency involving prescription opioids, codeine, co-codamol, methadone, buprenorphine, benzodiazepines and sleeping medications such as zopiclone and zolpidem.

Other addiction-related difficulties: Where clinically appropriate, our therapeutic programme can also address behavioural difficulties associated with gambling, gaming, compulsive internet use and other addictive behaviours.

Our primary specialism is substance detoxification and stabilisation, with rehabilitation therapies and onward treatment planning forming part of the wider recovery pathway.

What therapies are available?

Detoxification is an important first stage of recovery, but physical withdrawal alone does not address the behavioural and emotional factors associated with addiction.

When can I start treatment, and how long will I stay?

Our admissions team is available seven days a week to discuss treatment options, assess your circumstances and help arrange an appropriate admission.

Where urgent detoxification is needed, we will explore the earliest suitable admission date, subject to medical assessment and bed availability.

The length of your stay depends on the substances involved, your withdrawal requirements, physical and mental health, and longer-term recovery goals.

Oasis Bradford offers treatment programmes ranging from short detoxification stays to extended residential rehabilitation, with options including 10, 14, 21, 28, 42, 56 and 84 days.

Longer treatment pathways and extensions may also be available where clinically appropriate.

Unlike larger country-house rehabilitation centres, Oasis Bradford is a purpose-built, clinically focused treatment environment designed to provide structured support during detoxification and early recovery.

Before treatment begins, your medical needs and suitability are assessed. A prescribing doctor determines an appropriate detoxification plan, including withdrawal medication where clinically indicated.

Step 3: Medically managed detoxification
 
During detox, our on-site nursing team provides 24-hour monitoring and support. Your prescribed withdrawal treatment is overseen by medical professionals, with clinical observations and adjustments made according to your individual needs.

We recognise that withdrawal can affect people differently, and our team works to manage symptoms, monitor your wellbeing and support you through the process.

Step 4: Therapy and recovery education
 
Alongside detoxification, you can take part in counselling, group sessions, educational workshops and wellbeing activities as your health and treatment plan allow.
