I had a robotic myomectomy conducted by Me Naji 2 and a half weeks ago. The recovery has been amazing. Mr Naji ensured me I would be able to go on a long planned holiday just weeks after and he was right. Can’t recommend the robotic surgery enough.

My experience has been excellent from start to finish. Mr Naji made me feel comfortable straight away, listened to my concerns and explained everything thoroughly so I knew exactly what to expect from my upcoming operation. I was looked after very well in hospital by all the staff and the fact that I was able to have a robotic-assisted hysterectomy meant that my recovery was much quicker than it otherwise would have been. Mr Naji remained in contact with me throughout my recovery and was very thorough at my follow up appointment.

My journey to having a hysterectomy wasn’t exactly straightforward. After months of heavy bleeding and pain, investigations showed I had four fibroids, including two rather large ones, with the largest around 9cm. The MRI also showed adenomyosis. Apparently my uterus had decided that one problem at a time simply wasn’t enough. I was really reluctant to have a hysterectomy and my experience with the first doctor I saw left me feeling more frightened than reassured. Then I met Mr Osama Naji and, thankfully, the experience could not have been more different. He listened to me, properly, including my approximately 400 questions! He understood how important it was to me to preserve my ovaries and made me feel that I actually had a say in what happened to my own body. Eventually, even I had to admit that my uterus and I had probably reached the end of the road, and we agreed on a robotic hysterectomy. During surgery Mr Naji also discovered endometriosis, because apparently the fibroids and adenomyosis needed a friend. The operation went incredibly well. I’d love to say I bounced out of bed three days later looking fabulous. Absolutely not. The first couple of weeks were tough. At 10 days I was still sore, exhausted and slightly outraged that anyone could suggest two weeks was enough time to recover after having an entire organ removed! But then things improved remarkably quickly. By three weeks I was significantly better and much more independent. My tiny robotic incisions healed beautifully and every week I could see a genuine difference. Considering this was major surgery...

He and his team of nurses made me feel comfortable and well looked after, and his assistant is always quick to reply to any queries. Early in 2026 I went to the NHS for an ultrasound to help diagnose persistent irregular periods and related symptoms—issues I had been battling for a long time with limited success. I was already on the Mirena coil and HRT gel, but these had only provided limited help. The scan found a large fibroid (8cm) and I was told I needed urgent review. Having undergone two caesareans and multiple other procedures in the past, I was very concerned about the prospect of another major surgery. I searched through various options and came to Mr Naji at the Rylon Clinic. I found Mr Naji's manner very reassuring. An Incredible Doctor Who Gave Me Back the Power to Choose I would like to share my deepest gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Osama Naji. When I first met him, I was very emotional and frightened. After speaking with my previous gynaecologist, I had been told that I should have everything removed, and I felt completely overwhelmed by the thought of such a major decision. Meeting Mr. Naji changed everything. He did not tell me what I had to do. Instead, he carefully explained the facts, the options, and the possible outcomes. He gave me the most important thing a patient can have — the power to make an informed decision about her own body and her own life. He told me, in essence: “This is your body, this is your life, and you have to choose.” Thanks to his expertise, careful approach and willingness to look at the whole situation, we found a solution that was right for me. I had only my left ovary removed, rather than undergoing the much more extensive surgery I had previously been advised to consider. He performed the operation robotically and also took biopsies from the relevant areas so that everything could be properly investigated. I have now had my follow-up, and I am incredibly grateful that I found a doctor who looked at me as a person, not just a medical case.
