Nobody wants major surgery, but my experience with Mr Naji was positive and uplifting from our first conversation. Mr Naji is a highly skilled surgeon. In my case, he completed successfully a long and difficult operation with the best possible outcome, avoiding all the potential complications he had highlighted to me in advance. Mr Naji was very personable from our first meeting. He was realistic and knowledgeable. He is an excellent communicator and he put me at ease straight away. After doing my own research on the surgery and Mr Najis career etc I was happy to proceed with him as my consultant. I have had many many surgeries at GSTT and I have been very fortunate to have had minimal complications and this time was no different. He let me decide the timeline of my treatment and was compassionate in view of my ongoing health issues, history and struggles. I had my surgery at the right time for me and I am very happy with the outcome.Although I am discharged from Mr Naji’s care he let me know if I have any further issues or complications how to contact his team and he will call me directly. Mr Naji was friendly and kind from the start and right the way through my treatment. He has a very thorough approach and provides clear explanation at every stage, always taking plenty of time to answer questions in detail. His encouragement and confidence in you, helps you to feel positive about the experience and helps you to recover well. I had an abdominal hysterectomy to remove fibroids (and oophorectomy), and was extremely anxious as a patient however nothing was too much trouble for Mr Naji or his EA Louise. He explained the importance of mobilising after the surgery and after 3 nights in hospital I went to stay with my sister and found I didn’t feel the need for any bed rest and could go out and walk each day. I’m 2.5 weeks post-op now and feel very well, can easily walk 1.5 miles or more and feel much more comfortable internally without the fibroids. I’m so glad I had the operation! I’m very thankful for such a good recovery and I very much credit Mr Naji and his team for their excellent work giving me this. My experiences following the surgery have been far better than I expected. Mr Naji is an excellent surgeon and I thoroughly recommend him.
