Dr Nivedita Das

Dr Nivedita Das is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive medical care across all aspects of women’s health. Serving as a Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Oncology, Dr Das has extensive clinical expertise in managing gynaecological cancers, cervical pathology, and complex benign conditions. Her practice encompasses colposcopy, outpatient and operative hysteroscopy, and advanced labour ward care, ensuring patients receive high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services tailored to their individual needs.

Dr Das graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, India, in 2003. She subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom to undertake postgraduate medical training, initially completing Core Surgical Training and higher surgical posts in General Surgery. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) in 2010. Following her transition to Obstetrics & Gynaecology, she completed run-through specialist training in the East Midlands, earning Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2018 and completing her specialist training in 2022. Dr Das maintains active professional memberships with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.

With a robust foundational background in surgery, Dr Das possesses advanced skills in both open and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) gynaecological procedures. She actively collaborates within multidisciplinary care teams to deliver timely assessment through rapid-access cancer pathways, alongside personalised treatment plans for benign conditions. Dr Das is dedicated to maintaining an empathetic, reassuring environment for her patients, guiding them with clarity and professionalism throughout their clinical journey.
