Nikki Read is a specialist in supporting neurodivergent children and adults, particularly those on the autism spectrum and ADHD, along with their families and caregivers. With over 19 years of experience, Nikki has been working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals and the broader community to create empathetic, accepting, and individualised environmental enhancements. Specialising in psycho-education for individual, families and the workplace, the aim is to develop wider understanding and supportive strategies.
Nikki's expertise includes preparing pre-diagnostic reports, delivering training sessions for educators, businesses, and families, as well as facilitating parent education programs for the NHS, a national charity, and local authorities. Her focus lies in providing low-intensity support tailored to each individual's needs, incorporating current research, best practices, and lived experiences.
As part of the clinical assessment team, Nikki is involved in co-delivering ADOS2 assessments, undertaking 1:1 sessions and conducting workshops to foster a holistic understanding of children & adults, identify strengths, and empower families. Her aim is to enhance understanding and enable individuals to flourish.
Additionally, Nikki has the lived experience of parenting young adults with autism, ADHD, and other cooccurring neurodivergent conditions. Her sons' diagnoses at the ages of 4 and 8 have informed her practice and shaped her approach to supporting others in similar situations.

I continue to study and am passionate about developing strength based support for individuals and families that is highly individualised to match client need. On completion of ADHD Coaching certification & a PGC in Adult Autism Assessments, I intend to extend my pratice and skills by undertaking a PHD exploring improvements to the diagnostic pathway in autism through the experiences of the individual.
