About Dr Wayne Cottrell & Co
Dr Wayne Cottrell & Co, is your Private GP's, Sexual Health and Travel health clinic in Canary Wharf.
The owner of the practice is Dr Wayne Cottrell, who qualified as a doctor in South Africa in 1994 at the University of the Orange Free State. He started practising as a GP in London in 2001 (working in both private and NHS practice), after completing further UK based GP training.
He is an advocate of continuity of care for his patients and believes in the importance of establishing a long-term relationship with his patients and the importance of including his patients in decision making. The practice ethos is to take time with our patients, to listen and take patient concerns seriously and to provide quality healthcare.
The practice offers a same-day service, where we offer all the functions your NHS GP offer, but typically at a time convenient to you with results the same or next day. We also offer a bespoke oniste sexual health test & treat service with same or next day results.
The practice is LGBTQIA friendly.
"We offer a completely confidential, professional, non-judgemental service from start to end. If you are not sure if you have been at risk sexually, then we offer a consultation to discuss the possible risks and whether screening would be appropriate.
We discuss and agree all costs beforehand, so you know exactly where you stand and we will always provide you with clear and accurate advice, based on current British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) guidelines.
Dr Cottrell is a member of RCGP, BASHH, the Independent Doctors Federation , The HPCSA, and the clinic has " Good" Rating from the Care Quality Commission.
Please note, Dr Cottrell has retired from Clinical practice for medical reasons and is no longer practicing.

Sharing my challenging weight loss journey has always been something very difficult for me. When I finally decided to seek medical support and book an appointment with Dr Miller, I never expected to feel so supported, heard, and safe throughout the entire process. Weight loss for people who struggle daily should never feel judgmental or dismissive. Thanks to Dr Miller, I finally had a full blood analysis to better understand my metabolism and the reasons why I had struggled for years trying to lose weight. What I especially appreciate is that this is not a one-off consultation. I have regular follow-up appointments to make sure everything is going well, that I am progressing as expected, and that I receive the right guidance and advice at every stage of the journey. I am incredibly grateful for this clinic. The team is always responsive by email or phone and consistently does their best to accommodate patients with care, kindness, and understanding. I truly couldn’t recommend them more. Excited for what’s to come.
