Dr Neeta Patel is a Consultant in General Paediatrics and Allergy with over 25 years of experience in the treatment, diagnosis and management of all general paediatric conditions, including eczema, reflux, food allergy, allergic rhinitis, asthma, abdominal pain, feeding and growth problems, constipation, urine infection, recurrent infections.
She has developed and led the Paediatric Allergy Service at the Whittington Hospital Archway since 2006, which sees over 1000 patients per year for acute and chronic allergy cases..
Dr Neeta Patel earned her Bachelor's degree in medicine at the University of Manchester, after which she undertook her postgraduate training in various renowned London hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Mary's Hospital, St George's Hospital and University College London Hospitals. During this time spent training, Dr Patel gained knowledge and expertise in general paediatrics and subspecialties including allergy, respiratory, nephrology and neonates. Upon completion of her training in London, Dr Patel was awarded a Renal/Endocrine and Adolescent Medicine fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. She completed a Master's degree in Allergy at Imperial College London in 2012.
Upon her return to the UK, Dr Patel was appointed to a Consultant post at the Whittington Hospital, where she has since held the posts of Clinical Lead for hospital paediatrics and Clinical Director of Children and Young People Division. Dr Patel is also actively involved in the medical education sector, and regularly provides talks and training programmes for General Practitioners, junior doctors and health professionals around managing paediatric allergy and common paediatric conditions.

I am extremely glad that I booked an appointment for my 5 month old son to see Dr Patel and wish I had done so sooner. She conducted a thorough and well structured consultation which was not rushed in the slightest, in addition to allergy testing. As I result I felt supremely confident that she had a full understanding of both the background and issues at hand from which to base her recommendations. I was given a clear treatment plan which I was happy with. Dr Patel is clearly a highly experienced professional but in addition to this she and her team provide a kind, reassuring atmosphere and offer a wealth of helpful advice for which I was most grateful.

Dr Neeta is very systematic in her analysis, with my son having issues with eczema, allergies and asthma she gave us extensive advice and treatment plans. At no point were we rushed, we were given both the assurance and the medical expertise that Neeta specialises in. We’re already seeing a massive improvement in my son’s condition.

Dr Neeta took her time to get to know my child and build a rapport before embarking on taking her medical history and examining her. Her kind and attentive manners put my child at ease. Dr Neeta was able to explain in detail her working diagnosis both to me, the parent, and to my child , in a language that she can understands. Dr Neeta summarized all her findings in a letter and all communications were done in a timely manner. I highly recommend her!
