I honestly don’t even know where I begin. After weeks of being misdiagnosed by several GPs, my symptoms getting worse by the hour let alone by the day, and persistently updating my GP practice that I wasn’t improving at all, for them to tell me to “give it another 2 weeks”, I’d lost all hope in ever getting better. My sister recommended Dr Bakshi (he treated my niece and nephew, she only had wonderful things to say about their experience) as it reached a point where process of elimination was probably the right next step. I filled in the consultation form on Saturday and it was promptly picked up by Rahul, who reassured me that Dr Bakshi can treat me, and luckily there was an appointment on Tuesday. I immediately booked the train, and the rest is history. Dr Bakshi knew immediately what I was suffering from and he took the time to explain it all to me in detail. I started the medication he prescribed whilst on the train home that same afternoon, and almost instantly, my symptoms subsided, and they’ve only improved ever since. I can’t believe a week ago I was severely sleep deprived, covered in hives, and my quality of life was on the floor, to now: the itching is non existent, I’m sleeping through the night, and leaving the house for more than 90 mins doesn’t fill me with dread. After my appointment, I had my bloods done for the ALEX test. My results came back the next day and Dr Bakshi jumped on a phone call with me to explain it all to me, and it was also an opportunity for me to ask further questions. I feel very lucky to have found Dr Bakshi. From the outset, he understood my condition and was clear and decisive about how best to treat it. Before I had even visited the clinic, having read the symptoms I submitted online, Dr Bakshi suspected that what I thought was eczema was actually chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). He quickly arranged the appropriate blood tests and put a treatment plan in place. I first saw him in December 2024, when my CSU flared for the first time. The antihistamines he prescribed worked quickly and allowed me to manage the condition well for around eight months. When it returned, however, it was considerably more severe and at its worst left me effectively housebound for over a month. Dr Bakshi recommended Xolair injections and supported me throughout what was a difficult and unpredictable period. As the condition fluctuated, he was always available to offer advice and reassurance, and the treatment gradually allowed me to get back to normal life. I would highly recommend Dr Bakshi. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and a really decent man, and I always felt that he was genuinely invested in getting me better. The visit went very well. The clinic is easy to find and well located, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The doctor was supportive, professional and reassuring, and the medical care I received felt thorough and attentive. Overall, a really good experience.
