About
Dr Tom Marrs is Consultant Paediatrician specialising in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, with nearly two decades of experience in the treatment of children's allergies. Dr Marrs leads the Allergy Prevention Service at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital and the Joint Allergy-Gastroenterology Service at Evelina London. He was the Scientific Programme Lead for the British Society of Allery and Clinical Immunology from 2018-2020. Dr Marrs sees private patients at OneWelbeck Marylebone, Spire St Anthony's Hospital in Cheam and the New Malden Diagnostic Clinic.
Dr Marrs graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, in Medicine, Medical Ethics and Law. He completed his primary medical qualification in 2003 from St Barts and the Royal London Hospital, after taking specialist study at the Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital, Karolinska Hospital, as well as studying in Sri Lanka and Nepal. Dr Marrs then undertook his specialist paediatrics training at various renowned London hospitals including the Royal Brompton, Great Ormond Street and Guy's Hospital. Since completing his training, Dr Marrs was awarded his PhD in eczema, food allergy and the prevention of food allergies, and has been appointed Director of the Allergy Academy, King's College London, where he is also a Senior Honorary Lecturer with Adjunct.

Dr. Tom is very friendly and accomodating. No issues with our tests and all was explained thoroughly in advance. Also he responded promptly to my enquiries.

We were really pleased with our review with Dr Marrs. He was empathetic, holistic and thorough in the assessment and management of our daughter. We received prompt communication at all times and following our appointment we were emailed a very clear management plan going forward. We would highly recommend Dr Marrs to all parents who are concerned their child may have an allergy.

I think Dr Marrs was a true splendour and is the best doctor I’ve ever met! When I was scared to ever eat certain nuts or have a skin prick he reassured me and made fun jokes to take my mind off it.
