I recently had a nerve repair done by Mr. Farnell. The operation went very smoothly and I am now healing ahead of schedule. Mr. Farnell put me at ease both during and after the surgery and I feel that I have been in excellent hands throughout. I cannot find any fault with my care. Apart from that, he likes rock music so, that gives him another star! Well done Sir!

After a consultation a few years back, I asked Bupa if I could be treated by Mr Farnell this time because I found him to be highly qualified, reassuring and a consummate pro. The care he gave was first class, and I am particularly grateful to his assistant Tracey who was always on hand to respond to any administrative/logistical queries. They make an excellent team.

I was so nervous and doubtful of the outcome of any surgery. I couldn’t have been in better hands, literally! I had so much confidence with no doubt that surgery would benefit me, and 24 hours afterwards there are already signs of improvement. Thank you so much.

Having fallen in Jamaica and broken my wrist it was over a week before I returned to the UK and had a consultation with Mr Robert Farnell. My experience in Jamaica had been traumatic and Mr Farnell was extremely understanding with regard to my resulting anxieties about any further treatment that may be required. I found his manor to be very professional whilst at the same time very reassuring and all possible treatments and their expected outcomes were explained fully in a way that I could easily understand. He took the time to explain exactly what the procedure would involve, how it would be performed and what I would need to do post operatively to achieve the best function for my hand. I felt at all times that my treatment by Mr Farnell was his prime concern and had every confidence in him at every stage of the journey. Mr Farnell's bedside manor was exemplary and had a huge effect on calming my nerves throughout the whole treatment.

Mr Farnell is an experienced wrist surgeon. Since there is a lot of crossover between the wrist and the forearm we often work closely together and patients are always very happy with the care they receive.
