He graduated from the University of Sheffield Medical School and completed his specialist training in urology surgery in the Yorkshire region. He further honed his skills by undertaking additional training in the management of complex stone disease at Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris, as well as an advanced training fellowship in laparoscopic surgery at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds. His training also included a research period during which he was awarded a PhD.
In his private practice, Mr Kimuli's specialist interests mirror his NHS expertise, focusing on general urology, stone disease (endourology), benign and cancer kidney diseases and minimally invasive surgical treatments, including laparoscopy and robotic (keyhole) surgery. Lovely man. Has been looking after me since circa 2015 when I presented with an angiomyolipoma. Checked twice a year and eventually referred me to the Interventional Radiologists when it had continued to grow. It was successfully embolised but Mr. Kimuli has continued to follow it up as it has in the past caused me some pain. The last checkup showed it had not grown, had not acquired a new blood source and as it is no longer causing any pain, he has now discharged me with instructions that if ever it does cause me any trouble in the future I should either consult my GP or attend A&E.
Dr. Kimuli was very professional yet friendly. He patiently heard all my history and took the time to look at all my reports. Then he made sure i understood as well what was happening and what is required. Overall had a very good experience with him.
