Mr Stephen Prescott

Mr Stephen Prescott is a renowned and respected Consultant Urological Surgeon, working for both the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and practising privately with Spire, Nuffield and BMI Healthcare

He has experience spanning all areas of urology, but his speciality is in urological and prostate oncology. He is a talented surgeon, performing pioneering robotic and laparoscopic surgery with outstanding outcomes, and falls well below the national level for average patient risk. He ensures his clients will be in the safest hands with the best outcomes at heart. He is passionate about his field and is well known for his compassion and care following the diagnosis of cancer.

Mr Prescott qualified in 1981 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science from Manchester University before continuing his training in his chosen field in Edinburgh and Leeds. His strong academic background and vast experience led to him being appointed as Senior Lecturer at Edinburgh University and Honorary Consultant in Urology and Renal Transplantation to the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh in 1993. In 1995 he moved to Leeds to become Consultant Urologist to Leeds Teaching Hospital and Honorary Senior lecturer to the University of Leeds. He is a professional member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Association of Urology and at the European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer Group.

He is married with 3 grown up children and in his free time he enjoys being outdoors observing nature, growing trees, fruit, vegetables and wilding of his land, DIY, art and music.
