Mr Prescott qualified in 1981 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science from Manchester University before continuing his training in his chosen field in Edinburgh and Leeds. His strong academic background and vast experience led to him being appointed as Senior Lecturer at Edinburgh University and Honorary Consultant in Urology and Renal Transplantation to the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh in 1993. In 1995 he moved to Leeds to become Consultant Urologist to Leeds Teaching Hospital and Honorary Senior lecturer to the University of Leeds. He is a professional member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Association of Urology and at the European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer Group.
He is married with 3 grown up children and in his free time he enjoys being outdoors observing nature, growing trees, fruit, vegetables and wilding of his land, DIY, art and music.

The diagnosis of prostate cancer was a shock but Mr Prescott handled the entire process in a professional and empathetic manner. His care both before and after surgery has been exemplary.

I have always found Mr Prescott to be attentive,very painstaking and highly professsional.

Mr Prescott Was extremely professional at all times but made my husband feel very comfortable and relaxed too. He genuinely cared about his patients. My husband had bladder cancer and sadly passed away after 5 years but his wishes were granted throughout treatment and he had the best treatment and care from Mr Prescott. I would highly recommend him as an excellent and caring urologist.

Mr Prescott is a professional in the true sense of the word , his explanation of my predicament was exemplary and conveyed in a very down to earth fashion with all the side effects or possibility's clearly explained , the examination although intrusive was indeed a very reassuring experience with no time constraints or pressure . The operation was nothing but first class with every step looked after with people who truly cared and was followed up by another visit to the Nuffield York where again Mr Prescott assured me the time scale required for the healing process which indeed to great relief continued until my final visit where I was back to normal . Thank You
