About Mr James Barnard
Mr James Barnard is a Consultant Cardiac and Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgeon.
Mr Barnard qualified in Medicine from The University of St Andrews and The University of Manchester. Following this, he undertook his basic surgical training at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Brompton Hospital in London. He then undertook specialist training in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Manchester and Cambridge. In 2012, Mr Barnard undertook an advanced fellowship as the National Fellow in Heart & Lung Transplantation at Papworth Hospital near Cambridge.
