Mr Haroon Adam Mann

Mr Mann is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon based at The Royal Free London NHS Trust, one of Londons most prestigeous central London teaching hospitals. He is a USA fellowship trained consultant trauma and orthopaedic, foot and ankle specialist surgeon. His fellowship was at the Institute of Foot and Ankle Reconstruction, Baltimore, Maryland, USA and Shock Trauma Medical Centre Marland USA. He is also a Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL Medical School.

Mr Mann expertise and special interests include adult and paediatric reconstruction of complex foot and ankle disorders. He has been extensively trained in the reconstruction of arthritic knee and ankle joints and minimally invasive procedures to the knee, ankle and foot. Particular practice interests include treatment of forefoot disorders such as bunions, hammertoes, ankle instability, sports and dance related injuries, paediatric and adult flatfoot disorders. Biological and Cellular therapies (stem cells) to enhace and augment healing naturally are of particular research interests.

In addition, Mr Mann has published extensively on bleeding disorders affecting joints, foot and ankle conditions. With over 40 publications, books and book chapters, Mr Mann's current areas of research include cartilage preservation and the use of stem cells in orthopaedics and trauma and for wound healing. He is actively involved in teaching and training of surgeons, junior doctors and medical students both nationally and internationally. He remains passionate about humanitarian work internationally and undertakes twice yearly trips with Steps2Walk global humanitarian charity to help educate surgeons from developing countries about complex foot and ankle disorders.
