I have been a Consultant Gynaecologist for over 17 years. My area of interest is urogynaecology which involves looking after women with conditions such as prolapse of the womb/vagina, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, cystitis, recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain syndrome (interstitial cystitis), etc. I also look after women with other gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, diagnosis of cancer, etc.

In my opinion, the most important aspect of providing care is listening to patients, identifying their concerns and establishing what is important to them. Only by doing this can one decide what investigations and treatment are required. In most cases, there will be a choice of treatments and I work in partnership with my patients so that they understand their options and come to a decision which is right for them. I take comfort from the positive feedback I receive from patients and colleagues for my work.
