About Mrs Jamila Shahid
Mrs Shahid is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at House of Health in Jewellery Quarter Birmingham and Droitwich Spa Hospital in Worcestershire. She completed her medical degree at the Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan in 1983 and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996. In 2018, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has over 2 decades of experience working both in the NHS and private sector.
Mrs Shahid has a special interest in the management of infertile couples and reproductive medicine and has over twenty years of experience in performing gynaecological procedures.
At House of Health and Droitwich Spa Hospital, Mrs Shahid provides a wide range of services and is able to treat a large variety of gynaecological problems including heavy periods and other menstrual problems, post-coital bleeding, inter-menstrual bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding, menopausal symptoms, endometrial polyps, cervical polyps, genital and pelvic infection, pelvic pain, vulval soreness and disorders, polycystic ovaries and infertility. She also has expertise in laparoscopic hysterectomies.
Alongside her clinical practice, Mrs Shahid is actively involved in teaching and training programmes on both a local and regional level and has been a college tutor for over six years. She has also conducted gynaecology presentations at local, regional and international meetings.

I have very recently had surgery carried out by Mrs Shahid! Mrs Shahid is very kind, caring, professional and has very good bedside manner. She is the second consultant I have seen with abdominal pain and she got to issue very quickly which was a big relief to have an explanation. The care I received after my operation at Driotwich Spa Hotel was absolutely brilliant and Mrs Shahid came to see me the next day to explain how the operation had gone. The operation was a bit more complex than originally anticipated but I was in safe hands so thank you Mrs Shahid. I would recommend to anyone including my friends.
