Mr Christopher Duff

Mr Christopher Duff is a consultant plastic surgeon based at BMI The Alexandra Hospital, and Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. He has extensive experience in the management of skin lesions and skin cancer. He performs a wide range of cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic procedures including male breast surgery, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), body contouring following weight loss, eyelid correction (blepharoplasty) and reconstruction after skin tumour removal such as skin grafts and skin flaps. Mr Duff also has considerable expertise in hand surgery including Dupuytren's contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tendon transfer, and reconstruction and repair of damaged tendons, nerves, and bones.

Mr Duff gained his medical qualification at Oxford University in 1993 before undertaking his general surgical training. He trained as a junior Plastic Surgeon in Wordsley and then Bristol and then spent some time in research at the Bristol Laser Centre before beginning his specialist plastic surgery training in 2000. Mr Duff later completed specialist hand surgery training with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Selly Oak Hospital, and the Children's Hospital in Birmingham. In 2007, he was appointed as a consultant in Manchester.

Mr Duff has a passion for education and serves as a member of the SAC (Specilaist Advisory Committee) for Plastic Surgery as well as a tutor at The University of Manchester and the BSSH Hand Diploma. He also plays a key role in skin cancer treatment and currently sits on a number of multidisciplinary skin cancer teams in Manchester.
