Mr Alan Dickson

Mr Alan Dickson is a distinguished Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Consultant Paediatric Urologist specialising in the comprehensive surgical care of infants, children, and young individuals. His extensive clinical focus encompasses general paediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, and specialist paediatric urology. Mr Dickson maintains a particular dedication to diagnosing and treating complex conditions of the urinary tract, offering expert surgical care to support the health and long-term well-being of his young patients.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr Dickson has developed significant expertise in urinary tract reconstruction, neuropathic bladder management, hypospadias, and bladder exstrophy. Mr Dickson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1974 and completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degrees at The University of Edinburgh in 1977. He attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1982 and received formal accreditation in Paediatric Surgery in 1988, later becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007.
