About Mr Mounir Hakimi
Mr. Mounir Hakimi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over a decade of experience in hip and knee surgery, including knee replacements, keyhole surgery and primary and revision surgery of the hip and knee. He sees private patients at the BMI Highfield Hospital and the BMI Alexandra Hospital.
Mr Hakimi earned his primary medical qualification in 2001, after which he undertook his basic and advanced specialist training, allowing him to gain membership with the Royal College of Surgeons. He was then awarded a trauma and orthopaedics fellowship in 2016, and later earned his Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training. During his time spent training, Mr Hakimi gained knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of hip and knee surgery techniques at renowned orthopaedic centres of excellence such as the Wrightington Hospital. He was also awarded a prestigious hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship in Leeds, at the Chapel Allerton Hospital.
Upon completion of his training and fellowships, Mr Hakimi was appointed Consultant at the Royal Salford Trust in 2018. He has since been actively involved in the medical education sector, being appointed Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Salford, and is also faculty for various Hip and Knee arthroplasty courses.

mr hakimi was very helpful and professional. however his secretarial staff are very poor 1. Failed to inform me of my first appointment being cancelled. 2.Failed to answer 2 x emails 3.Rude and unprofessional when i eventually spoke to her
Consultation was fine, scan was fine, but nobody has contacted me since for a follow up?
After having a complete left hip replacement in December 23 by the highly approachable Mr Hakimi, Mr Hakimi then carried out a complete right hip replacement in September 24. Both operations were a complete success. I am now enjoying lots of walking, no discomfort or pain and not even the hint of a limp. Post and preoperative care at the Highfield Hospital was superb, everything was explained, appointment times were punctual with minimum waiting, physio therapy brilliant, recovery from both procedures was textbook. I would highly recommend Mr Hakimi, his professional team and the Highfield Hospital (Rochdale). Thank you very much to all involved.
Overall my treatment has been excellent with no problems with waiting at all. Everything was brilliant
I have to say that I have been extremely happy with my surgery and my experience
