About Dr Matthew Ginks

Dr Matthew Ginks is a Consultant Cardiologist with many years of experience in the diagnosis and management of general cardiology and heart rhythm disturbances. He sees private patients at the Nuffield Health Manor Hospital and the New Foscote Hospital.

Dr Ginks gained his primary medical qualification at St Thomas's Hospital and went on to train at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. During this time, he gained knowledge and expertise in the study of heart rhythm disorders, such as palpitations, missed heart beats and atrial fibrilation. After achieving his Medical Doctorate at the University of London, Dr Ginks was appointed Consultant in 2013, and has since completed hundreds of minimally invasive catheter ablation procedures per year. Dr Ginks is also an active member of the research community, and has edited textbooks on Cardiac Arrhythmias.
