Never gone ‘private’ before and we were pleased with the thoroughness and speed of the consultation and tests that were done.

I was very pleased and relieved to meet Dr Gamble today. I had read that he had an interest in heart failure and other comorbidities. It is very rare to meet doctors with an understanding of me/cfs. I felt he possessed this and really listened to my experience of this illness, and particularly my sense that heart medications were causing more problems with fatigue. I shall follow his advice carefully and hope for an improvement in quality of life.

From my initial enquiry right through to my appointment, I couldn’t have been more impressed with the whole experience. Responses to my emails were always very quick, and everything was explained clearly, including the likely procedures and costs, which gave me confidence and reassurance from the outset. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble. The secretarial staff were also exceptional — friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. They made the whole process very easy and were a pleasure to deal with. I would like to thank everyone involved for making what could have been a rather worrying experience so straightforward and reassuring.

I went to Dr Gamble to seek advice about the impact of a family history of heart disease on my children. I wanted to understand risk, prevention and monitoring of their cardiac health in the future. I found my consultation very helpful and reassuring. It was important to me to understand how to mitigate family history and give my children the tools to remain healthy. I am very glad I sought advice and am grateful to Dr Gamble for his time.

I was very nervous and wittering but Dr Gamble excelled in encouraging relevant information from me and succinctly discussing and suggesting progress. I felt very reassured and relieved.

I had a private consultation with Dr Gamble to confirm my Amyloidosis TTR diagnosis and to sign post treatments. It was a very good meeting and following it I had a blood test at the JR hospital to further pin down the exact strain of Amyloidosis TTR I have. This was all very helpful and a now know more precisely the way forward.

I had to have tests on my heart to resolve a problem with swollen legs I have had since a recent operation for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Dr Gamble was experienced, thorough, discreet and reassuring. A difficult combination and one in which he excelled.

I appreciated being treated as an informed adult capable of a discussion of my symptoms and the appropriate treatment, taking account of my age and abilities.

My primary concern was that my heart and pace maker were functioning good and were not contributing factors to some unusual health issues that I have been experiencing since February. Dr Gamble had great empathy with my health issues and spent some time assessing my ECG results, checking my pacemaker performance and also conducting an echo cardiogram during my consultation. He listened to my current problems and felt that the cause(s) lay elsewhere and advised me to proceed with a CT scan of my head as suggested by the JR elderly clinic and follow-up again all results with my GP. I have requested a repeat in 6 months. A very reassuring session and results. Excellent.
