Dr Matteo Ciocca

Dr Matteo Ciocca is an accomplished Consultant Neurologist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of neurological conditions. He holds specialist clinical expertise in movement disorders and clinical neurophysiology, focusing on delivering thorough diagnostic evaluations and individualised treatment plans. Dr Ciocca is dedicated to supporting patients with complex neurological symptoms, striving to improve their functional mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life.

Dr Ciocca earned his medical degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2008, where he subsequently completed his specialist postgraduate training in Neurology in 2014. To further advance his clinical and research expertise, he completed a PhD in Brain Sciences at Imperial College London in 2025, investigating neurophysiological mechanisms related to postural control and sensorimotor integration. Additionally, Dr Ciocca is certified as a Fellow of the European Board of Neurology, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to the highest international standards of clinical care.

In his clinical practice, Dr Ciocca focuses particularly on movement disorders such as essential tremor and Parkinson's disease, alongside the evaluation of patients for functional neurosurgery procedures. His treatment approach encompasses modern, minimally invasive interventions, including MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) and deep brain stimulation (DBS) management.
