About Dr Maithili Srikantha
Dr Srikantha is a Consultant Neurologist who sees adults with the full range of neurological symptoms and conditions. She looks after patients from across London, Kent and Surrey with problems affecting the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.
Dr Srikantha completed her medical degree at the University of London, alongside a BSc in Immunobiology and Pathology from Imperial College London. She undertook post-graduate training in Oxford and London and has been a Consultant Neurologist since 2017. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and holds a postgraduate diploma awarded with distinction.
Her particular interests are epilepsy and seizure disorders, first-time seizures, blackouts, unexplained collapses and episodes of altered awareness. Alongside this, she has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with:
- Headaches, including migraines and tension headaches
- Concussion or head injury
- Cerebrovascular disease, including stroke or mini-stroke (TIA)
- Memory/cognitive problems, including dementia
- Nerve problems like numbness, tingling, or weakness, including neuropathy
- Movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and tremors
- Multiple sclerosis (MS) and similar conditions
and other general neurological concerns.

I have seen Dr Srikantha twice. One both occasions she listened to what I had to say, explained everything very well so I knew exactly what was happening, why and the outcome of the consultation.
Dr Maithili was very thorough and reassuring during the appointments. She made sure that all the tests were done to cover all the bases.
Dr Srikantha was kind and clear and out my mind at ease very quickly. I felt like a bit of a hyperchondriac but she was very respectful. The scan was a new experience. A bit nerve wracking but again the staff there put me at ease.
