Dr Mark Weatherall is a Consultant Neurologist who sees adult patients aged 18 and over at The Medical Chambers Kensington. He treats a wide range of neurological conditions, including headaches and migraines, blackouts and epilepsy, transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs), stroke, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. His principal clinical interests lie in the diagnosis and management of chronic and persistent headaches, facial pain and visual snow syndrome.
Dr Weatherall is recognised as one of the very few Consultant Neurologists in the UK with genuine subspecialist expertise in headache medicine. He is a pioneer in advanced headache treatments, including greater occipital nerve injections, Botox therapy and CGRP monoclonal antibody treatments, and is particularly experienced in managing patients with long-standing or treatment-resistant headache disorders.
He has been a Consultant Neurologist at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire since February 2018. Prior to this, he led the Princess Margaret Migraine Clinic at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Charing Cross Hospital, for ten years. His specialist headache training was undertaken at the Institute of Neurology in London, where he trained with Professor Peter Goadsby and Dr Holger Kaube as part of the internationally renowned Headache Group.
Dr Weatherall has a particular passion for helping patients with chronic headache conditions who have often struggled to find effective care. His approach focuses on accurate diagnosis, persistence, and careful exploration of all appropriate treatment options. He combines compassion and clinical judgement with up-to-date knowledge from cutting-edge neuroscience research, ensuring patients are fully informed and involved in a holistic yet evidence-based treatment plan.
He has published extensively in international medical journals and regularly speaks at national and international meetings, including those of the International Headache Society, the European Headache Federation, the Migraine Trust and the Association of British Neurologists. In addition, he frequently provides expert commentary on headache disorders for national newspapers such as The Times, Daily Mail and The Sun, and contributes to radio programmes including You and Yours and Woman’s Hour.

Dr Weatherall was very professional, listened carefully and empathetically to my issues and provided a useful diagnosis and way forward
Dr Weatherall is one of the best doctors I’ve seen (and I’ve seen quite a few!). He is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, taking the time to really understand your individual case and think things through carefully. You genuinely feel that you’re in the very best hands.
As always, a very thorough and informative appointment to assess my Parkinson's development. Medications reviewed and other asdociated health concerns addressed. I left very reassured
Very happy with consultation, covered everything and dealt with the problem
Dr Weathall was extremely thorough and explained things so that I could understand. Professional, approachable and I would say an expert in his field.
We went for a review at our request due to some new concerns we had. Dr Weatherall was very reassuring
Dr Weatherall was excellent in explaining his thoughts, and that consideration reassured me. So I left feeling hopeful that things would improve for me as a result of the brain scan he asked me to have done. So, all good so far. But there has been silence for almost a month since then, despite me having had the scan. Indeed the letter summarising my visit (which was very accurate and detailed, thank you), only arrived today 21 April, and I have still heard nothing on the results of my brain scan. I have therefore got something of a sour taste at the end of this so hopefully I’ll hear about the brain scan soon. For your information I have since had two more mini thunderclaps headaches and a return of some vertigo.

Thank you for your review, and your kind words about the consultation. I'm sorry that your original letter was not turned around in our usual timely manner. This was due to a backlog of work caused by my PA's leave of absence, but we have now cleared this, and you have I know now received the result of your investigation. MW
My concerns were listened to thoughtfully and considerately and different possible diagnosises explained in easy to understand terms
