Dr Mark Ainslie

Dr Mark Ainslie is a highly accomplished Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Director who specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of heart conditions. His clinical leadership and expertise in advanced cardiology make him a trusted specialist for patients seeking comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation and treatment.

His clinical interests are highly specialised, with a particular focus on cardiac electrophysiology, complex cardiac devices, and heart failure. Dr Ainslie has a deep interest in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the management of sarcoidosis. He is also actively involved in medical education, holding a postgraduate qualification in the field, and contributes to the training of future medical professionals while maintaining a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety.

Dr Ainslie began his medical journey at Leicester Medical School, where he graduated with a first-class science degree and an Honours medical degree. He completed his specialist cardiology training within the Northwest Deanery. Demonstrating a strong commitment to research, he undertook a PhD at the University of Manchester, focussing on cardiac MRI and devices.
