Dr. Piotr Lech

Dr. Piotr Lech is a dedicated Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Advanced Cardiac Imaging. Originally trained in Poland, Dr. Lech moved to the UK in 2015, where he has continued to develop his expertise in the field. Initially training as an interventionalist, he discovered a passion for cardiac imaging during his early career in Poland. His PhD thesis focused on the factors influencing the extent of heart attacks as measured by cardiac MRI, solidifying his deep interest in imaging.

Currently, Dr. Lech holds a joint post at Warrington and Halton Hospitals and the prestigious Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. His workweek is largely devoted to advanced cardiac imaging techniques, including cardiac MRI, CT, and stress echocardiography. He believes that cardiac imaging plays a crucial role in modern cardiology, as it is essential for achieving an accurate diagnosis, which is the foundation of effective treatment.

Dr. Lech is passionate about the evolving capabilities of contemporary imaging techniques, which offer unprecedented detail in examining the heart and continue to advance in diagnostic precision. His commitment to cardiac imaging allows him to provide the highest standard of care, ensuring that his patients receive accurate diagnoses and tailored treatments. In his free time, he builds and flies first person view drones. He is also a seasoned long distance runner with a few marathons under his belt.
