Dr. Laura Atherton

Miss Laura Atherton is a Consultant Gynaecologist providing NHS and private care in Bath. She practises at Sulis Hospital and the Royal United Hospital. Her clinical work focuses on the investigation and management of benign gynaecological conditions, with care guided by current evidence and national clinical standards.

Miss Atherton holds the MBChB degree and has completed specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK. She is a core member of the gynaecological cancer service at the Royal United Hospital, contributing to multidisciplinary care pathways and the ongoing management of women with suspected or confirmed gynaecological malignancy.

Her specialist interests include laparoscopic and minimal access surgery, gynaecological ultrasound, colposcopy and menopause care. She provides assessment and treatment for a broad range of gynaecological presentations, including abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and menopausal symptoms.
