Dr Judith Standing

Dr Judith Standing is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in maternal medicine. She provides comprehensive clinical care to women throughout pregnancy, with a primary focus on supporting expectant mothers who manage complex health needs or pre-existing medical conditions. Dr Standing is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to the individual requirements of each patient and her family.

Her main area of clinical expertise encompasses high-risk obstetrics and the management of maternal medical conditions during pregnancy. In addition to her direct clinical responsibilities, Dr Standing actively contributes to regional healthcare governance and leadership as a Regional Chief Obstetrician. In this leadership role, she works alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams to monitor quality standards, enhance clinical practice, and promote optimal outcomes for mothers and infants.

Dr Standing completed her primary medical degree at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1992.
