Dr Islam Gamaleldin

Dr Islam Gamaleldin is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Specialist who provides high-quality, patient-centred care in women’s reproductive health and minimal access surgery. Specialising in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic-assisted pelvic surgery, Dr Gamaleldin focuses on diagnosing and treating complex gynaecological conditions. His primary clinical expertise encompasses deep infiltrating endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, sub-fertility, and benign uterine conditions. He is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's individual health needs and preferences.

Dr Gamaleldin achieved his primary medical degree (MB BCh) from Ain Shams University in 2006, where he subsequently completed a Master of Science (MSc) in 2011 and a Doctorate (MD) in 2018. In 2015, he achieved Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in London. Following his specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dr Gamaleldin completed a competitive fellowship accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He remains an active professional member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, and the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

Beyond his direct clinical practice, Dr Gamaleldin serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer and has previously worked as an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine. He has led national and international clinical research projects in reproductive medicine and endometriosis, publishing widely in international medical journals. As an accomplished Robotic Surgeon and Minimal Access Surgeon, Dr Gamaleldin routinely performs complex procedures such as laparoscopic excision of endometriosis, keyhole hysterectomy, hysteroscopic fibroid removal, and fertility-sparing surgery, ensuring patients benefit from advanced techniques that promote comfortable, timely recoveries.
