Dr Indranil Dutta

Dr Indranil Dutta is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centred care for women at all stages of life. With expertise across general and specialised gynaecology, Dr Dutta offers reassurance and individualised treatment tailored to each patient's medical needs. His practice encompasses a wide spectrum of healthcare for women, with a focus on benign gynaecological conditions, menstrual health, and menopause care.

Dr Dutta completed his foundational medical training in India, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), followed by a Master of Surgery (MS) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO). He subsequently completed advanced specialist postgraduate training in the United Kingdom, earning his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He holds Membership (MRCOG) and was later elevated to a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG). Dr Dutta maintains active involvement with professional medical organisations, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

In his clinical practice, Dr Dutta offers extensive surgical and diagnostic expertise. He regularly performs minimally invasive procedures, including diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, as well as basic and intermediate laparoscopy. He is equally skilled in major open and vaginal surgical techniques, such as open hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, and complex open laparotomy. His clinical focus covers the evaluation and treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular periods, postmenopausal bleeding, and ovarian cysts, as well as contraceptive advice and abortion care.

Beyond his clinical duties, Dr Dutta is actively engaged in medical education, clinical leadership, and quality improvement. He serves as an accredited Clinical and Educational Supervisor, mentoring junior doctors and trainees in the field. Having previously held senior executive roles, including Clinical Director in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Dutta has been formally recognised for his achievements in healthcare service development, risk management, and clinical governance.
