Dr Hey-Long Ching

Dr Hey-Long Ching is a dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist who provides comprehensive and reassuring care for patients presenting with a wide array of digestive health conditions. Specialising in luminal gastroenterology and advanced diagnostic procedures, Dr Ching focuses on delivering precise diagnoses and individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Dr Ching completed his primary medical training, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc). He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2019, focusing his doctoral research on upper gastrointestinal capsule endoscopy. He maintains professional memberships with prestigious medical bodies, including the Royal College of Physicians, the British Society of Gastroenterology, and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

In clinical practice, Dr Ching has established sub-specialty expertise in non-invasive gastrointestinal imaging, particularly small bowel, upper gastrointestinal, colon, and magnetically assisted capsule endoscopy. His broad clinical interests include the investigation and management of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and complex luminal disorders. He routinely performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and enteroscopy.
