About Dr Harish Rao
Dr Harish Rao has been a consultant adult psychiatrist within the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom since 2009. He possesses wide-ranging experience working in both inpatient and community settings. Moreover, he has been providing private psychiatric services since 2019.
He has expertise in many conditions including anxiety, bereavement, depression, personality disorders, schizophrenia and stress.
After completing his postgraduate studies in psychiatry in India and the UK, Dr. Rao became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2005 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2009; he also holds an endorsement in addiction psychiatry.
He is involved in research with interests in stigmatised attitudes about people with mental illness and DNA polymorphisms in alcoholism.
