Ms Emma Shears

Emma Shears is a dedicated Audiologist at Harley Street Hearing, having joined the practice in 2026. She holds a Master of Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. Her professional journey began in regional Australia, where she developed a robust foundation in adult and paediatric diagnostic services before moving to London to work within the NHS.

Throughout her career, she has developed a focus on managing complex hearing cases through advanced rehabilitative technology. She has extensive experience fitting a wide range of hearing aid systems, including Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) devices, and has worked closely with cochlear implant patients, developing specialist expertise in assessing, fitting, and supporting individuals with complex hearing rehabilitation needs.

Emma’s clinical scope is notably broad, encompassing both adult and paediatric audiology with a particular interest in specialised diagnostic assessments. During her time in Australia, she served as the sole infant diagnostic audiologist for the region, leading specialist paediatric diagnostic services while further expanding her expertise in Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) assessments and balance testing. Emma is a strong advocate for patient-centred care, ensuring that her scientific expertise is used to create personalised outcomes for every individual’s hearing health journey.
