Dr Saagar Mahida is a Consultant Cardiologist/Cardiac Electrophysiologist with over a decade of experience in the treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities. Dr Mahida has a particular interest in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. He sees private patients at the Spire Liverpool Hospital and Spire Manchester Hospital.
Dr Mahida is one of a select number of European heart rhythm specialists to have undertaken advanced specialisation at two of the highest profile centres in the world (the Harvard University-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and Hôpital Haut-Lévêque, Bordeaux, where the first curative ablation for atrial fibrillation worldwide was performed). Dr Mahida was extremely personable. He clearly and calmly explained the issue and the possible outcomes available. He was supportive and responded to any queries making sure that you understood the situation. He manner was excellent and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I had an SVT that was cured by DR Mahida performing a catheter ablation. The staff were very friendly. The procedure was well explained and I was made to feel comfortable throughout. Some of the after effects/recover symptoms were not explained but Dr Mahida was also quick to respond to email queries through his secretary.
Dr Mahida took time to explain everything and give me options. My hospital stay was faultless
Dr Mahida listened carefully to my concerns and explained the treatment options clearly. The staff at the Manchester Spire hospital were very friendly and professional and I felt I was in safe hands. Everything seemed to go very smoothly and my ablation procedure appears to have worked very well.

From the first consultation to the final discharge consultation I felt totally at ease with the professionalism of Mr Mahida and his calming nature. Mr Mahida's knowledge in the cardiology field was apparent from the offset which also gave me much confidence for the up coming procedure.
Very smooth process from the initial consultation to my surgery and subsequent follow up consultation. Care at the hospital was fantastic.
