Dr Saagar Mahida is a Consultant Cardiologist/Cardiac Electrophysiologist with over a decade of experience in the treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities. Dr Mahida has a particular interest in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. He sees private patients at the Spire Liverpool Hospital and Spire Manchester Hospital.
Dr Mahida is one of a select number of European heart rhythm specialists to have undertaken advanced specialisation at two of the highest profile centres in the world (the Harvard University-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and Hôpital Haut-Lévêque, Bordeaux, where the first curative ablation for atrial fibrillation worldwide was performed). I chose Dr Mahida for my atrial fibrillation ablation for 2 main reasons. 1. He does high volume work and 2. He has excellent patient reviews. As it turned out, it was a superb choice. He is such a nice man, talks calmly and exudes confidence. The operation itself was a success so far, 3 months without A Fib. The incision in the groin was minor and healed very quickly. I felt in safe hands from the moment I met him. A top doctor in every respect. Can’t recommend him highly enough.
