Dr Roberta Brum

Dr. Brum is an NHS Consultant Physician in HIV and Genitourinary Medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, appointed in 2014. Her clinical expertise encompasses all aspects of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Sexually Transmitted Infections in both men and women. She has extensive experience in managing HIV infection, AIDS, and antiretroviral therapy, and currently leads the HIV/menopause joint service within her Department. Dr. Brum has particular expertise in vaginal infections and their management, incorporating the latest vaginal microbiome research into evidence-based treatment approaches for recurrent and chronic conditions. She runs specialized clinics for chronic female conditions, HIV women's health, menopause, and joint HIV and pregnancy care. She holds an Advanced Menopause Certificate from the British Menopause Society and is a member of both the British Menopause Society and International Menopause Society. Dr. Brum advocates for a holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing listening to patient concerns and involving them in treatment plans. She has a large cohort of Portuguese-speaking patients in both HIV and Sexual Health clinics.
