My appointment with Dr Lord was extremely helpful. I felt listened to and understood, and came away with a clear plan of action. After struggling with chronic issues for three years, this was the first time I felt my concerns had been genuinely acknowledged. The level of detail and thoroughness Dr Lord demonstrated during and after the appointment was truly impressive. It was also genuinely heartwarming to see the care and passion she has for her work and her patients.

I’m so glad I finally found Dr Emily Lord, she’s an amazing Doctor, just wish I had found her sooner. I’ve been struggling with a Candida Glabrata infection for nearly a year and it’s been incredibly challenging. Dr Lord enabled me to talk openly about the issues that were of concern I felt I had time and space. The examination was also comprehensive.

I found Emily to be warm and friendly from the waiting room all the way through the consultation. I found this hugely re assuring! I had plenty of opportunity to ask questions and I found the consultation highly educational as Emily de-coded the medical jargon as she talked me through everything.

Honestly I feel like I have found someone who knows how to help me. I have vaginal candida galbrata I have had the infection for nearly a year and no one has been able to help me clear it. Today I went to see Dr Lord and she is the first person I have seen that clearly knows about the complexities of treating this yeast. I finally feel like I will be ok. It has really impacted my life and I felt stuck. If you have the same candida or any a typical infection I would highly recommend you come and see this Dr. Don’t keep suffering.

I found Dr Lord via a google search whilst desperately looking for someone to help me. I have suffered with vulval pain/dermatitis/thrush for many years and I think the declining estrogen during perimenopause was the final straw. Dr Lord was brilliant, so good being able to speak to someone so knowledgeable in all the different areas and also so lovely and reassuring. After the first appointment I came away with a clear plan of action moving forward which felt life changing, I wish I had found her sooner.

I specifically sought out Dr Lord cause I had been dealing with a complicated, longstanding case of recurrent Candida-type symptoms which had repeatedly been culture-negative and had become incredibly difficult to make sense of. From my first appointment, I felt completely understood and in exceptionally safe hands. Dr Lord is enormously knowledgeable about chronic/recurrent Candida and complex vulvovaginal symptoms, but just as importantly, she truly listens. She took my history seriously, understood the nuances of a very unusual presentation, and was willing to think beyond a textbook answer rather than dismissing symptoms simply because standard testing had been recently negative. She is also genuinely one of the loveliest doctors I’ve met. Super warm and easy to talk to and has the rare ability to make an appointment about something very personal feel completely relaxed and normal. Most importantly, her treatment plan has already resulted in a dramatic improvement in symptoms I had been dealing with for years, and she has continued to follow things thoughtfully as the picture has evolved. I cannot recommend Dr Lord highly enough, particularly to anyone struggling with recurrent/chronic Candida or complicated vulval symptoms who feels they have been going around in circles elsewhere.
