Dr. Fareed Shiva is a Consultant in Sexual Health, HIV, and Contraception with extensive expertise in managing complex sexually transmitted infections. He completed his medical training at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust before pursuing specialised training in Genitourinary Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London in 2016. In addition to being a member of the Royal College of Physicians, Dr. Shiva holds a master's degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health, alongside diplomas in HIV, Genitourinary Medicine, and Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Dr. Shiva is particularly skilled in the diagnosis and management of intricate cases of sexually transmitted infections, as well as a specialist interest in below areas:
- Syphilis and neurosyphilis
- Sexual Function (such as erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory problems or low desire)
- HIV prevention: PrEP (Pre-Exopsure Prophylaxis) including injectable PrEP
