Mr Marco Adamo

Mr Marco Adamo is a General and Bariatric Surgeon currently working at the private practices Wellington Hospital. His areas of specialism are Bariatric surgery and upper gastrointestinal surgery. His areas of interest include complex laparoscopic procedures, laparoscopic hernia surgery and laparoscopic anti reflux surgery. He is an expert in bariatric surgery and revisional bariatric surgery for weight regain

Mr Adamo qualified in 1996 from Universita degli Studi di Palermo, in Italy, whereby he attained a Doctor of Medicine and completed training in general surgery. Furthermore, he has over 20 years' experience in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He has many professional memberships including Member of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and is Council member for ALSGBI and BOMSS.

He is also a pioneer in single incision bariatric surgery and performed the first single incision laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in the UK.
