About me

I have worked as a substantive NHS Consultant Cardiologist for Brighton and Sussex University Hospital Trust between 2010 and 2021.

I was the Clinical Lead and Head of the Cardiology Department between 2016 and 2019, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Lead prior to this.

As a consultant I have undertaken all aspects of acute, emergency and outpatient cardiac care, including undertaking out of hours primary angioplasty for patents suffering heart attacks.

Prior to my Consultant appointment, I was trained in all aspects of general and interventional cardiology with most of my specialist cardiology training undertaken at St Thomas's Hospital, London, with a year as the Interventional Cardiology fellow in Brighton in addition.

I was awarded my post graduate degree after a three year period of clinical research, investigating coronary physiology with Professor Redwood at St Thomas' Hospital.

Having obtained all my specialist qualifications I was awarded a competitive, international interventional Fellowship, which I undertook in Australia before returning to Sussex.

I have looked after high volumes of patients with all general cardiology conditions ( for example coronary artery disease, chest pain, valvular heart disease, palpitations, hypertension and heart failure).

It is very important to me to provide holistic, individualised care to those who come to see me and it is a priority for me to be accessible and responsive to my patients.
