Dr. Lorin Lakasing

Dr Lorin Lakasing is a highly respected obstetrician with over 25 years of experience. In 2004 she was appointed a Consultant in Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine at St Mary's Hospital, and has provided private pregnancy care at the Lindo Wing for over 15 years.

Alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in research predominantly in the field of placental dysfunction. She has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals including the British Medical Journal and Prenatal Diagnosis. She is also passionate about medical education, regularly giving lectures and examining students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Dr Lakasing has contributed to local and national clinical guidelines and regularly attends meetings relating to the national antenatal screening programme. She has an interest in medical litigation and regularly provides medico-legal reports in cases of adverse perinatal outcome or medical malpractice. She also conducts provides independent reviews on Maternity Service provision for other hospitals.
