Dr Kevin Ward qualified as a doctor in 1991 from King's College Hospital Medical School. He then completed his Senior House Officer jobs and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994.
He undertook his speciality training in cardiology and became a specialist in 2002. Following this, he spent three years at the Queens Hospital in Burton upon Trent before moving on to the QEQM Hospital in Margate. In July 2008, he became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in July 2008 and in 2009 he received his MD.
Kevin deals with all aspects of general cardiology and also has a specialist interest in device therapy and specifically devices for the treatment of life threatening cardiac arrhythmias (Implantable cardioverter defibrillator) and heart failure (Cardiac resynchronisation therapy). He has level II accreditation in cardiovascular CT enabling independent performance & reporting of cardiac CT and is also a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
