Dr James Rosengarten

Dr James Rosengarten is a Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist with a particular interest in irregular heartbeats, palpitations, SVT, atrial flutter, fibrillation, and tachycardia. He is among the few cardiologists who offers curative ablation as a treatment for these conditions. He also manages patients who need heart monitors, pacemakers, ICDs and defibrillators.

After graduating in 2002, James started his speciality training in cardiology. During his training as an electrophysiologist, he gained expertise in the diagnosis and catheter ablation of AV nodal, pathway mediated tachycardias, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. He also worked in research, looking into the use of novel risk stratification tools for sudden cardiac death. James has worked on utilising biomedical engineering techniques, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, to identify serum protein, imaging and electrocardiographic biomarkers.

James is passionate about delivering accessible healthcare and meeting the demands of the local population in East Kent. He also cares deeply about addressing the needs of those suffering from highly symptomatic rhythm disturbance and patients at risk of lethal arrhythmia across the wider region.
