Very reassuring outpatient appointment with full, professional explanation given by Dr Harding regarding recent results.
Idris took a very thorough medical history and examined my lungs, BP, legs. He explained the process and effects of AF and flutter. Then laid out multiple procedures and examinations prior to proceeding with any intervention. As a result I have commenced an immediate diet to lose weight which has worked for me before without undue side affecets. No carbs. No malt whisky. In effect a keto diet with no alcohol.
From check in with Elaine on reception through to meeting Dr Harding the service was first class. Dr Harding explained how SVT occurs via a simple drawing and an explanation in a way that no other medic had done before - thank you.
A good experience. Nice manner and thorough explanations
I saw Dr Harding in April 2025 after becoming quite confused, and somewhat alarmed, at discovering what my NHS record presented as facts regarding my heart health. I experienced palpitations following my third, at final, covid vaccine, which overtime increased in severity. Having been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation I eventually came under the care of Dr Harding - in a NHS capacity. I was immediately struck by Dr Harding's reassuring 'bedside' manner, which is professional and empathetic. He clearly knows what he's talking about and at that early time, was extremely reassuring. Since then I have learned to manage my condition with diet and other lifestyle changes, such as weight loss. I remain on a relatively low dose of BP and arrhythmia correcting medication, which together with the above changes, has significantly reduced the re-occurrence of AFib attacks. As already outlined above, I wanted to speak to Dr Harding as I needed clarity on my condition, and to question the official narrative contained within my NHS medical record. Dr Harding very quickly familiarized himself with my case and was able to respond immediately to where I am now, relative to where I was when he first saw me, and the assumptions contained in my records. He gave me an examination and was satisfied, especially with the benefit of a previous CT angiography of coronary artery with contrast I had in 2023, which concluded 'Normal', with the following comments: 'there is some mild plaque disease there but not enough to cause her concern'. I asked Dr Harding to make his findings available to...
Read moreDr Harding took the time to listen to my perspective on my health and was happy to answer my questions at length. I left feeling more confident about my condition, despite learning that there are likely to be limits on the efficacy of treatment options.
Dr Harding explained all my problems and told me what procedures were necessary which left me feeling more informed.
He explained the test needed for my problem, and would arran̈get them for me ,and gave the cost
I have known Idris from my training days. He was always patient-oriented and his patient feedback is a testament of his work ethic. I would highly recommend.
