Dr Farida Bano

Dr Farida Bano graduated in 1993 from the University of Karachi in Medicine. She is now a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician working at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

She has had more than 20 years of experience within the field of Gynaecology adding to her expertise in colposcopy, vaginal surgery, contraception, menopause/HRT, urogynaecology and pelvic pain. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and she is an active member of The British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. She is also a member of British Menopause Society.

Dr Bano completed in-depth training within this field which allowed her to recognise her specific interest in women's health. She also enjoys teaching and is a supervisor for aspiring trainee doctors whilst completing their placements. She is also the Lead GP trainer at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

She has published her research in gynaecology and has presented both nationally and internationally at medical conferences.
