Dr Chris Miller

Dr Chris Miller is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist and Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine who provides comprehensive care for individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of heart conditions. He evaluates and treats patients presenting with symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, and blackouts. With extensive clinical expertise spanning general cardiology and complex heart conditions, Dr Miller focuses on delivering patient-centred care aimed at improving symptoms, functional capacity, and overall quality of life.

Dr Miller possesses specialist expertise in heart failure, particularly heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), a challenging condition that causes fatigue, breathlessness, and fluid retention. He also has advanced expertise in non-invasive cardiac diagnostics, specialising in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (cardiac MRI) scanning to provide detailed evaluations of heart structure, tissue health, and cardiac function. In addition to diagnosing complex heart conditions, Dr Miller routinely manages structural heart disease, assists older patients with cardiovascular conditions, and performs detailed medication reviews to simplify and optimise therapeutic regimens.

Dr Miller graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of Manchester in 2003, having also earned a First-Class Honours degree in Physiology. He later completed a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Manchester in 2013. He completed specialist clinical cardiology training and advanced imaging research fellowships at leading cardiac centres in the United Kingdom and the United States. Dr Miller is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). His professional memberships include the British Cardiovascular Society, the European Society of Cardiology, the European Heart Failure Society, the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, the British Society for Heart Failure, and the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Miller leads research initiatives dedicated to advancing the early detection, understanding, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This academic work ensures that his clinical practice reflects the latest evidence-based developments in cardiology.
