Dr Alessandro Bruno

Dr Alessandro Bruno is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in adult mental health. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to patients experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties. Dr Bruno strongly believes in an integrative biopsychosocial approach, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalised treatment plans. By fostering a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment, he aims to build strong partnerships with his patients, helping them explore their challenges and achieve their personal recovery goals.

With extensive expertise in General Psychiatry, Dr Bruno has a particular clinical interest in eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia. His broad clinical scope also encompasses the diagnosis and management of mood and anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, he is highly skilled in treating complex conditions such as psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorders, sleep disorders, and addiction. Dr Bruno is also adept at addressing the physical comorbidities that frequently accompany mental health conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to patient well-being.

Dr Bruno completed his medical degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Università Degli Studi di Palermo in Italy. He went on to complete his specialist training in Psychiatry at the same institution's Specialty School of Psychiatry, within the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology. During his postgraduate training, he undertook a fruitful research collaboration with the Genetics and Psychosis Group at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London. Dr Bruno holds full specialist registration in General Psychiatry and is a Specialist Associate of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
