Our treatment
No two people are the same, and each of us requires different levels of treatment. By utilising a range of different treatment methods, we offer the space to understand more about your illness and the ways it might affect you. Some of these treatments include:
- Individual therapy to uncover the root causes of your condition in a safe space.
- Group therapy as a means to communicate with those around us, bringing an end to the isolation that often results from addiction.
- Talking therapies to foster positive thought patterns, giving you the tools needed to improve your overall mood and health.https://www.banburylodge.com/rehab/individual-therapy/
We also offer more individualised treatments for our clients, such as:
- Relapse Prevention
- Contingency Management
- Experiential Focusing
- Family Interventions
In addition to these treatments, residential clinic weight management programmes are carefully managed. Our private chef can create a tailor-made menu to suit your dietary requirements, alongside enforcing a fresh and highly nutritious approach to food.

My 14 day stay at Banbury Lodge potentially saved my life and certainly gave me the opportunity to be ME again with my family, friends and relationships. All staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The community itself just shows such tremendous support and understanding without judgment. My therapist was so caring, kind and a terrific listener who I bonded with immediately. Activities keep you busy throughout the day and the food is delicious! May I take this opportunity to thank all the staff members who have helped me on my journey, which I will start now I have left…
Thank you for your review it is great to hear the therapists were friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to hearing about your recovery journey through alumni
I was a client at Banbury Lodge for 28 days primarily for Eating Disorder treatment, along with issues regarding alcohol. I had an extremely positive experience at Banbury Lodge and feel that I have benefited massively from the tight schedule of group therapy and workshops, alongside 2 1-1 therapy sessions a week (as part of the ED programme). As I suffer with ARFID, I have many complex food needs and was thoroughly impressed with how accommodating Kat (the chef) and Nick (the manager) were. I did feel that the workshops and sessions were largely focussed towards alcohol and drug addiction, however, I was able to exercise the skills learnt towards fighting against my eating disorder. Being taught to view my ED as an addiction has been massively helpful. If you are motivated and put the work in, I believe you can gain a lot out of your stay at Banbury Lodge.
Thank you for your review it is great to hear Banbury Lodge was accommodating and supportive and that you enjoyed the wide range of therapies on offer I am looking forward to hearing about your recovery journey through alumni
I can honestly say this rehab has changed my life completely. From the moment I arrived, I was supported by a top manager and an exceptional head therapist who truly understand recovery and go above and beyond for every individual. Their leadership and care create a safe, structured, and genuinely encouraging environment. The community here is incredible — supportive, welcoming, and full of people who genuinely want to see each other succeed. It makes a huge difference being surrounded by that kind of positivity every day. The rooms are top quality: clean, comfortable, and designed to make you feel settled and at ease throughout your stay. The food is also excellent, with high standards and great variety that really adds to the overall experience. This place has truly changed my life, and I’m grateful for everything it has helped me achieve.

My time at Banbury Lodge has completely changed my perspective on life. When I first arrived, I was stuck in a cycle that I couldn’t see a way out of, but through the support, structure, and care I received here, I’ve been able to rebuild myself in a way I didn’t think was possible. The therapy and guidance helped me understand myself on a deeper level, and slowly I began to appreciate life again — not just survive it. I’ve learned to value my health, my future, and the people around me far more than I ever did before. Banbury Lodge gave me the space and support to realise that life is worth so much more than drugs, and I’m leaving with a completely new outlook and a sense of hope I didn’t have before. I’ll always be grateful for the role it’s played in helping me turn things around.
Thank you so much for your review and kind words! We are so pleased you chose to stay with us and had such a positive experience during your stay. We look forward to catching up with you soon via our aftercare and alumni programmes. Keep up the amazing work, the UKAT Team.
I’ve just finished a 28-day stay at Banbury Lodge and honestly it was a really good experience. The staff were amazing—really supportive and easy to talk to—and the whole programme was spot on. It’s definitely put me on the right path for recovery and I’m feeling positive about the future. Really grateful for the help I got here. Would definitely recommend.

I have struggled with multiple addictions for many years and was very sceptical about what Banbury Lodge could offer me that I had not already tried. I have not long finished a 28 day stay there and can positively say that it was just what I needed. The centre is clearly run very well, the staff and facilities were incredible and I was met with the compassion that I have missed in other settings. The centre is based on 12 steps with the addition of some DBT sessions which I found to be very effective in helping me to come to terms with my addictions and work through them. I was able to have a bit of a reset in other areas of my life that I hadn't previously considered to be unhealthy, such as exercise and nutrition. I was introduced to some new holistic treatments. I cannot put into words my gratitude for the staff at Banbury Lodge and the safe space they provided me so that I could finally start the shift into a life free from addiction. I highly recommend for anyone suffering and encourage you to take the chance, as I found out it's extremely worth it.
Thank you for your review and recommendation it is great to hear you have had a full life resent and Banbury Lodge has been able to help you with all of your addictive behaviours in your life looking forward to hearing from you about your recovery through alumni
I had a really positive experience overall and wanted to highlight a few key areas that stood out during my time here. The therapy team was exceptional — professional, compassionate, and genuinely invested in my progress. They created a supportive environment where I felt comfortable and motivated to engage fully in my recovery. My focal therapist was Naoim and she has helped me a lot to untangle family dynamics. All the team is always available and approachable. The manager was approachable and clearly committed to maintaining high standards across the service. Their leadership was reflected in how smoothly everything ran and how well-supported both staff and clients seemed. Considering the age range and varying lengths of stay and diversity of clients. The support staff also deserve recognition for their kindness and consistency. They were always available when needed and contributed greatly to the welcoming atmosphere. They maintained high levels with regards to boundary / rule keeping, which helped in keeping all clients safe especially with regard to the ED clients. The food was good, with a decent variety and improvements were made following my initial feedback and dietary requirements. Overall, the level of care I received was very high, and I felt genuinely supported throughout my time here. Leaving the building, I would rate my experience a 9 out of 10 — I feel positive, more confident, and grateful for the support I received.
We're deeply touched by your review. It's incredibly rewarding to hear that our program had such a positive impact on your life. Thank you for acknowledging our team's dedication and care. We wish you all the best on your continued journey.
