Dr Charlotte Ashton

Dr Charlotte Ashton is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in neonatal medicine. With a profound commitment to providing exceptional care to newborn infants, she focuses on supporting sick and premature babies who require specialised medical attention. Her clinical practice is centred on ensuring the highest standards of safety and care for the most vulnerable patients during their critical early days of life.

In addition to her core work in neonatology, Dr Ashton has a strong interest in medical education and quality improvement. She serves as the Medical Education Lead for her department, where she plays a pivotal role in training the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her clinical research and interests also encompass neonatal respiratory support, including the optimisation of face mask ventilation and the implementation of advanced monitoring techniques to improve outcomes for infants requiring intensive care.

Dr Ashton completed her medical training at the University of London, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She also holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Medical Ethics and Law with Basic Medical Sciences. Demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence in her field, she is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).
